FT Global Events - Preparing for the Upturn

"Each crisis may be hiding major opportunities"

 This was the greeting message of Mr. Constantine Michalos, President of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry during the "Preparing for the Upturn- How Greece can manage the challenges and capitalise on the opportunities of the changing global economic environment" conference, organised by Financial Times Global Events in association with the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry and C&C International Group of Companies.

 "Preparing for the Upturn" conference held in Athens between 1st and 2nd April 2009, was a unique event focused on the steps that need to be taken to drive the upturn in Greece.  Tailored to bring together political and business leaders, "Preparing for the Upturn" conference attracted more than 250 senior industry figures and experts from the government and private sector, both locally and internationally offering a vibrant forum for debate and dialogue on key issues such as effective management of economic challenges, strategic planning, identification and exploitation of new opportunities arising during the global downturn.
